Mycelium Tests

Indofungi Lab’s ongoing, process-based research and exploration actively investigates multiple substrates available in Indonesia.

A matrix of of Mushroom strains, moisture content, substrates, PH levels, temperature, time and density is assessed.  Our goal is to develop high yielding strains that thrive in Indonesia’s tropical climates and locally available grow materials.

A few of many tests.

Data from some small tests look promising enough to warrant larger sample tests.

Consuming Lentinula Edodes (Shiitake) Mushrooms Daily Improves Human Immunity

A recent study concludes: “Regular L. edodes consumption resulted in improved immunity, as seen by improved cell proliferation and activation and increased sIgA production. The changes observed in cytokine and serum CRP levels suggest that these improvements occurred under conditions that were less inflammatory than those that existed before consumption.” link

Shiitake growth started.

The first mushroom variety Ayung Farms will be growing is Shiitake. Very few fresh Shiitakes are available in Indonesia. They are difficult to grow in the tropics as they prefer cold mountain climates. Our modern farm has large cold rooms where this climate is created.  Our Shiitake is very happy, our staff wear thick coats.
